Slow down, egg head

It's popular knowledge that on average the human brain only uses around 15% of its total processing capability. It has been estimated that even the most intelligent people on the planet - including iconic figures such as Albert Einstein (left) and Stephen Hawkins - only use around 20% of their brain.
For me this gives rise to two questions;
- Why does our brain not allow itself to be fully utilised? I think the reason for this is to aid natural preservation and protection. Such brain power would no doubt lead to complete mental breakdown and severe psychosis, opening the body up to dangers such as suicide.
- What on earth would we be capable of, had we access to the full power of our brain? That question I couldn't even begin to answer (because I'm only a 15%'er), but even if I could, I'm not sure if I'd want to.
Don't quite know what's led me to write about this subject - ill be back on track with web design ideas in no time, but feel free to leave your thoughts.

I think if we had the capability to harness that full 100%, it would be a way better world... that and maybe people would be smart enough to leave IE too... what a world that would be.

HAHAH :D - love it!!
But think about this... if we had that ability to tap into 100% of our brain, do you think IE would even exist (in the sorry state it is in now anyway) ??

Aw, Bill Gates would find a way to use only 15% of his brain because he's special.
