Popstalin Redesign

After 2+ months of silence Jen has redesigned her website, and it looks great. A colour pallet of burnt orange and magenta provide a fresh, energetic feel. The simplicity and clean-cut edges make nagivation a breeze, and I also love the new illustrative eye candy.

Additionally, take a look at her contact page; this may just be Wordpress standard but design and markup like this should be the aspiration of all good web designers :)

It's cool to see Jen back in blogging again. Christmas has made this a quiet month for bloggers, and if it doesn't pick up soon then I may have to go back to conversation with the wife...!

PS: If you're reading this Holly then I'm joking. You know I love ya' :P

I'm blushing! Thanks for the shout-out Steve... as my UK friends would say, "I'm really chuffed about your kind words!"

    Did I use that right?

Oh yeah and I should probably give props to the person who created this awesome form, Mike Cherim over at http://green-beast.com/, swell guy and great form.

PS... Stupidly, I only use Wordpress for my blog, not my site.

Use it right? Damn woman - for a second there I though you actually were English! ;)

On a serious note though it is a great new redesign, and I'd be proud of it. In a world full of design complexities (such as yours truly) its nice just to see something simple and easy on the eye. Well done :)

Beautiful site, Jen! I ended up here following the comment Steve left on my blog, started reading Steve's post, checked out your site, came back, saw the reference to the contact page, went back to your site, saw the form, I smiled, came back here, read the comments...

    Now it's me who's blushing.

Uh oh, sorry, I though markup was allowed.

Sorry about the lack of markup notification, Mike. It's definitely something I've got to remember to put back in, along with a post preview!

Nice to see you out and about again Jen. And not wanting to sound like a broken record and echo what others have said... but nice job with the redesign!

My own is almost complete, but that's another one who's beaten my to the punch - it certainly is the season to re-design ;-)

About Steve Tucker

My name is Steve Tucker. I'm a 23 year-old web designer based in Huddersfield, England.

I design and develop for the World Wide Web and actively practice PHP, CSS, XHTML to web standards, Javascript and Ajax techniques. I also love my job, my wife, music (particularly U2), bacon sandwitches (perhaps a little too much) and a cold pint of Guinness...
