Moving Day

At long last the time has come; Holly and I are moving house. I'm still shattered from a night of drinking, my alarm ringing at 7am almost killed me, but other than that I'm optimistic that the day ahead will go according to plan. No doubt I'll get battered and bruised over the course of the day and probably wont be able to type properly again for the best part of a week, but on the bright side I doubt anyone will notice.

This comes as a first for me. Anyone who lives in England, or has even heard of this small country will probably have a fair old idea of how extortionate the house prices are. £125,000 is the price tag on my new most valuable asset... I now feel as broke as I am. Anyway if you don't hear from me within the next few days then something no doubt fell on me, and I'm now stuck in a queue down at Huddersfield hospital's A&E unit.

Hope you're both happy in the new pad. Nothing beats cracking open that first cold beer in your new home - boxes strewn around, knackered and an infectious happiness. Enjoy it!

That's great man - congratulations! I cannot even begin to imagine how it feels to be in the position you're in - it must be awesome. Houses in San Francisco start at around $500,000 for an extreme fixer-upper...

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. Everything went A-OK thankfully! You're spot on there Simon, bout the sitting in a room full of boxes with a cold beer - except we dont have a fridge, so the beer was a not-quite-so-refreshing room temperature. Still, we're in, and despite a tingle in my lower back I feel fine.

Enjoying the feeling of never having to pay rent again. Now i've just got a massive mortgage to look forwards to :)

Massive mortgage or not, you own a house and you should be damned proud of yourself. :)

A little late, but congrats on this grand purchase Steve.
