More debts on 'New Couch Day'

Whereas I don't see myself as a lazy person by nature I do find it somewhat unjust that I must get up at 9am prompt on my Sunday morning. Why? Because today is new couch day, and I've been told by the wife that I must make space in the living room.

Yes, Holly and I have found another excuse to spend almost £2,000 on something we don't really need. In fairness our existing 1970's flowery piece of crap couch was probably past its sell-by-date by about, oh, 10-15 years?

Nevertheless the new debt in my life is still one I could certainly do without. At least I've got 12 months interest free credit before the big blokes with baseball bats come from Land of Leather to break my legs...

Good day, bad day

Despite my early morning grumbles, today should be a good day. It's the day when our living room with truly be finished, and I'll be able to sit back on my new leather couch with my smokers jacket and pipe, and play with the recliner action.

Only one thing worries me; delivery men. Half of them are knobheads; they traipse mud and dirt over all your new carpets, scrape the walls you've just finished painting, and then to top things off charge you £60 for the privilege. Reckon I'm going to have to be on top arsehole-spotting form for this one.

Anyhow I'll let you know how it goes and try 'n post a photo in a day or two :)

I just purchased a couch...first time too. It isn't spectacular or anything, and it probably won't last more than 5 years, but we paid $427, and its comfortable :)

Ha ha, HomeReserve.com actually. I figure since i am still in college, there is no point in buying anything too expensive at this point in time.

Ah yes, the furniture shopping escapade... My wife and I have not yet gone down that road yet - it'll definitely be interesting when we do.

I'm looking forward to seeing pics of the new living room sitting device you just picked up. Exciting.

Nothing beats the perfect couch to lounge on after a day spent staring at pixels...

I love my couch - a white leather pimped-up sofa from eBay.

You'll have to get some pics up when it's installed.
