Ghana vs United States

Some of you may have watched it, some of you may not. Ghana yesterday played the Czech Republic and won 2-0. The match was a hugely enjoyable one to watch with twists, turns and an astonishing display of skill consistently throughout the match from the African team's camp.

As for the United States they too also surprised (and no doubt made the bookies a fortune) with a 1-1 draw against world cup hard-hitters Italy. I personally expected a result somewhere along the lines of their last 3-0 defeat against CR but alas they played a better game than the Italians, even being one man less and in my opinion should have won the match.

What Next?

Ghana will now play the USA! For the Americans this will be a most important of matches - they are down in points and need a win to stay in the competition. If they keep up the excellent form they had against Italy they may still have a chance, however they are facing Ghana who played like Brazilians in their match against CR. My result prediction? 2-1 Ghana.

Ok...who ever the ref was for the US/Italy match should be fired. A red card in the first 2 minutes of the second half for a freaking late tackle? Bullshit! He completely ruined the game. The elbow to the face deserved a red card, but a late tackle? I dont think so...

Anyway, great effort by both teams. The US still have a chot at moving on, and thats a big surprise, lol.

The game with USA vs Italy was ridiculous. So many red cards and fouls that were not necessary, and that goal from US that was offsides, lame.

But im not sure who will win the next match, but of course im rooting for my country, go USA!

The World Cup has been on TV everywhere at work - yes, I have a very unique employment. I also was very surprised hearing that the US tied Italy. I just don't think we're going to be able to hang much longer with such great teams across the world.

I really think USA could have won the game vs Italia had the ref pulled his head out of his ass. He ejected Pope 2 minutes into the second half, complete bullshit! it was a 1 second late tackle, something we see in EVERY game! He shoudl have pulled Pope over to the side and warned him...now, the 2 players ejected for the USA cant play in the next game...:|

That goal against Italy when one of the Itallian strikers went down should have been allowed. I know the player went down but the game continued without a whistle right up till the ball went into the back of the net. Bit unfair if you ask me.

They called it offsides and then said that there was a USA player obstructing the Italian Goalies view...but either way, after the mess the ref caused for that game, a tie is almost a win.
