A Small Alteration
If you're a regular to this site then you may have noticed a minor visual alteration - I've finally pulled the design away from the one column layout it has supported since version 2. The decision for this shift is based upon my efforts to group content of similar subject together on the page. In the last version I had placed the article envelope, containing details about the article, down within the secondary content area, above the comments. I never felt comfortable with this position, because:
- The article envelope sat under the heading 'Interact', a completely incorrect categorisation.
- It separated important details about the article from the article body itself.
Unable to find a position I felt aesthetically suitable in the single column layout I've hence spread to two. Of course, with the extra room I had space to add some extra relevant content; something about the author (yours truly) and various social bookmarking links. I'm pretty happy with the result, both aesthetically and structurally, but as always you are the visitors of this site, so feel free to make your opinion heard :)

A new mugshot :-)
Nice structural change thought - it's nice to have the article envelope above the fold.

A definite improvement Steve. As much as a one column approach can add focus it always leads to unnecessary scrolling. Structurally this is much sounder. Good work :)
