About The Man
My name is Steve Tucker. I'm a 23 year-old web designer based in Huddersfield, England.
I design and develop for the World Wide Web and actively practice PHP, CSS, XHTML to web standards, Javascript and Ajax techniques. I also love my job, my wife, music (particularly U2), bacon sandwitches (perhaps a little too much) and a cold pint of Guinness.
I've been developing websites seriously since the summer of 2000 and have never received a day's training in my life - the latter of which I initially regretted but am now rather proud of. I work to W3C web standards, XHTML Strict whenever I can, and enjoy the satisfaction I get from the work I do immensely.
I also often trick myself into believing that I'm more talented than I actually am - a somewhat feeble attempt to dignify all the hours I spend reading books. My day job is that of a web developer. I run the Huddersfield design company EyePlot Digital with a mate called Jay Hands, who is also a member of GAWDs.
My favourite colour is red, my favourite number is eight, I love creative passtimes and can almost always be found tinkering with something. My biggest risk of repetitive strain disorder is checking my email and my biggest gripe is seeing the sparse, empty space in my inbox where once was proof of popularity. Hell, id even settle for spam now-a-days.
Drink wise I love coffee (perhaps a little too fondly) and my top dish is a good Indian takeout curry; that said I look healthy enough. In reality i'd surely be a fat bastard if it wasn't for my mum, who's built like a twiglet.
